I own a Citroen Xsara 1.6 16v VTR and I want to fit a Brantz International 2S Pro. The Xsara had a electronic speedometer. Which sensor is the best choice?

Good morning Rob,
Thank you for your question
The sensor you opt for really depends on the year of your Citroen Xsara. If it is older than 2005 then the most likely sensor to best fit would be the Electronic Speedo Interface (BR5) if you wanted an electronic type fit. Alternatively, there are several mechanical options depending on your fitting preference.
Some of the sensors available are as follows:
1. Wheel Sensor (BR2A) – this sensor is fitted to a non-driven wheel, a great choice if your vehicle is prone to wheel spinning, and picks up off the bolts of the brake disk as they go past.
2. Drive/Prop Shaft Sensor (BRH2) – this is a more serious fit generally for much older vehicles that do not have disk brakes, magnets attach to the drive shaft and a sensor is mounted to pick them up as the drive shaft rotates.
If your Xsara is newer than 2005 then you would need to check that the speed pulse does not go in to the Canbus system.
